Next you have to tell WordPress that you want a static home page. To do this, navigate to Settings > Reading. For the “front page displays” field, select “A static page” option. Then expand the Front Page drop down and select “Home” (or which ever page you assigned your home template to). Click “Save Changes”, and your done!
